Qatar Hospital employees boycott duties against MS transfer

KARACHI: The employees of Sindh Government Qatar Hospital, Orangi Town, Karachi boycotted the duties in protest against transfer of Medical Superintendent from hospital.

The protest demonstration of staff has badly affected the patients’ care in the hospital while dozens of schedule surgeries were also postponed. The visiting and admitted patients had to suffer as the outpatients departments and wards almost remained non-functional due to the protest.

The Sindh Health Department had transferred the Medical Superintendent, Qatar Hospital, Dr Syed Khalid Masood and posted Dr Enayatullah as new MS but this routine transfers irked the staff.

Surprisingly, the employees divided in two groups, one staged protested against transfer of old MS while another group in favor of new one. The protest demonstration of employees doubled the miseries of OPD patients. The score of schedule were also postponed. Besides, the emergency services were also remained partially disturbued due to protest of staff.
