Rising traffic jams in Karachi slated

KARACHI: Karachi Transport Action Committee (KTAC) president Mohammad Ashraf Banglori on Sunday demanded of DIG Traffic to take stern action to resolve traffic jam issue that has become a nightmare for the Karachiites.

Banglori complained in his statement that traffic officials remained disappeared on major roads of the city. He further said that due to absence of the officials, traffic law violation had become a tradition on the city roads. He alleged the traffic police for taking bribe that caused damage to traffic flow. He pointed out that apart from shabby condition of the roads and poor sewerage system, traffic police was tormenting citizens.

He appealed to DIG to make the officials punctual and requested traffic police high officials to pay visits to review the cops’ performance during rushing hours.
