Karachi: Dozens are reported dead and injured in a major earthquake that rattled many areas of Pakistan on Monday noon.
National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said the earthquake was 8.1 on the Richter Scale. They said serious aftershocks are also expected.
Peshawar, Chitral and Bunir are amongst the most affected areas. The epicentre of the earthquake was in Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan.
