Muzaffargarh: An earthquake with 5.3 magnitude on Richter Scale jolted many parts of southern Punjab in the wee hours of Friday. No causality could be reported immediately till filing this news. However, it caused panic among the people, most of whom were asleep.
Th earthquake hit Punjab’s region at 05:27am. The jolted areas included Jampur, Muzaffargarh, Vehari, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Sadiqabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Kot Addu. The epicentre of the earthquake was 23 kilometres west of Jampur at the depth of 29 kilometres, according to reports.
