KARACHI:Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) and Omair Sana Foundation (OSF) has adopted a ward of mentally and physically challenged children in Dar-ul-Sakoon and handed over a cheque to Sister Ruth Lewis.
Afridi along with General Secretary Omair Sana Foundation Dr Saqib Hussain Ansari, Tahseen Akhter and mother of Dr Kashif Hussain Ansari unveiled the plaque of the ward and met with children.
Tassaduq Anila Weldon, Qamar, Iqra, GM Dar-ul-Sakoon Moris, Founder of Dar-ul-Sakoon Sister Ruth Lewis were also present at this moment. The ward was named after Shahid Afridi’s father name Sahibzada Fazal Rehman.
It is worth mentioning that Dar-ul-Sakoon is serving for the cause of rehabilitation of mentally and physical retarded people whom the society and their parents have left alone haplessly.
Speaking at the event, Afridi said children are facing such a hardship and pain that is unimaginable for us. The management of Dar-ul-Sakoon needs to applaud and appreciate for their tireless and patient services. We supported and will continue this support for the cause. Sharing pain and grief is humanity and it is our responsibility to look after this underprivileged people of the society.
Dr Saqib Hussain Ansari said that OSF is serving Thalassaemia children since 2003 and striving for Thalassaemia free Pakistan. OSF is always supportive for the cause of children’s health whether.
