Colombo: Sri Lankan U-19 captain Charith Asalanka played an unbeaten 184-run knock to help Sri Lanka reach 330-7 in 90 overs on day one of the three-day match against Pakistan at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.
Sri Lankan colts elected to bat first after winning the toss. Asalanka almost singlehandedly helped the host reach the big score as none of his other teammates recorded a half century. Vishad Randika (36 runs) and Wanidu Hasaranga (31 runs) stayed for some time on crease with the skipper.
Shadab Khan bowled 24 overs and took four wickets for the visitors. Meanwhile, Saif Ali took two and Mohammad Bilal Shah took one.
