KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday directed the Rangers authorities to allow the family members of detained Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Qamar Mansoor, to meet him.
A two member bench headed by Justice Mohammad Ali Mazhar taken up a petition filed by Mansoor’s mother, requesting the court to allow family member’s meeting with him.
Mansoor’s mother in her petition requested the court that family persons want to meet him and they contacted a relevant authority for this purpose but so far they are unable to meet him. She pleaded the court that her son is suffering from back pain for 17 years and his treatment is being continued from a medical consultant.
After hearing the arguments, the court directed the Rangers authorities to allow the family members of Qamar Mansoor meet him.
MQM senior leader and former provincial Minister, Qamar Mansoor is currently in Rangers’ detention for 90 days over charges of arranging and facilitating hate speeches.
