KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday directed the Rangers authorities to arrange a meeting of Usman Moazzam, a general secretary of PASBAN Pakistan, with his family on tomorrow otherwise it would be considered as a contempt of court.

SHC bench headed by Justice Irfan Saadat was hearing the petition filed by filed by Usman Moazzam’s wife Saboohi Usman seeking the whereabouts of her spouse and son.

On Thursday’s hearing Rangers informed the court that Usman Moazzam is present in their Meetha Ram sub-jail in Karachi. In the last hearing there was a dispute regarding Usman Moazzam’s presence as on 18th September his family members were told by the Central Prison Karachi authorities that they had not received the custody of Usman Moazzam.

In the last hearing, the court directed Rangers to produce Usman Moazzam before the court, but it failed to do so despite its instruction.

The court gave the last chance to the lawyer of the rangers to submit the report about the missing of Mohammed Siddiqui, a son of Usman Moazzam, in the next hearing which is scheduled on 6th November.
