Six killed, two injured in Karachi violence


KARACHI: Six persons were killed and two others injured in separate violence incident in the city on Sunday.

A youth, Amjid, 25, son of Sajid, was killed by unknown armed men near graveyard of Baldia-7. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

In another incident, two youth, Naveed, 23, son of Hassan, and Toseef, 25, were shot dead by unknown armed men in Malir Khokrapar. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsies.

Yet in another incident, two unidentified persons, aged about 35, and 30, were found dead in Balida. The bodies were shifted to CHK for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killings could not be ascertained yet.

Meanwhile, a man, Mohammad Saeed, 25, son of Abdul Salam, was gunned down and Mohammad Ayub, 24, son of Noor Mohammad, was injured by unknown armed men near Saeed Electric Shop in Noorani Basti. The body and injured were shifted to JPMC for an autopsy and treatment respectively.

Separately, a doctor, Junaid Siddiqui, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near sector 15-B in Buffer Zone. The injured was rushed to a private hospital for treatment.
