Sports: Cricket: TCF launches the Online Auction for Younis Khan ‘10k runs’ historic bat

Karachi: The Citizens Foundation (TCF) has initiated an online auction to sell the 10,000 runs milestone bat of the legendary cricketer Younis Khan.

The online auction is now live at TCF will present this valuable bat to the highest online bidder. The bidding will close around the end of this month. All proceeds from the bat auction will go to TCF’s education fund and help many deserving children to have an access to quality education in Pakistan. The auction presents a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity for the cricket enthusiasts around the world to own one of the most valuable possessions in cricket history.

“We are humbled by this very kind gesture of Younis Khan and are extremely grateful to him for showing this commitment towards our mission of enlightening young minds. TCF has come a long way from 5 schools in Karachi slums to 1,441 school units across the country in just over two decades.”

Internationally acclaimed cricketer Younis Khan recently gifted his 10,000 runs bat for the cause of education. The gesture from Younis Khan is a generous move to support education for the children of Pakistan. Currently, 204,000 children are getting quality education in purpose-built TCF schools located in the heart of urban slums and rural communities. This bat marks the lifetime achievement of Younis Khan who became the first Pakistani cricketer and 13th in the history of Test cricket to cross the 10,000 run milestone during a Test Series against West Indies this April, hence entering the elite club of the most accomplished cricketers of the world. He is also the only cricketer in the world to make centuries in 11 countries.

Encouraging his fans to participate in the auction, Younis Khan said, “Entering the 10,000 runs club is not just my achievement, it’s the achievement of my nation.
