Karachi: Virtual Axis clinched Azadi Super Tapeball Night Cricket Tournament title after beating Trip Planners team by 63 runs in the summit clash here at Cocan Ground.

Shujaat Azeem batted brilliantly for the winners scoring 60 runs off only 19 balls to help the side put on board 98 runs without any loss in eight overs. His opening partner Naveed Ahmed scored 28 runs.

In its turn, Trip Planners scored a paltry total of 35 runs before losing all of its wickets.

A total of 12 teams participated in the tournament.

Virtual Axis CEO Khwaja Ahmed Mustaqeem said that his boys have put a team work during the tournament, which was the reason they have been crowned champions.

He added that Virtual Axis would also be establishing its football and hockey teams soon.

“We have been promoting the game of tenpin bowling throughout the country. But now we are looking to increase the scope and would also be promoting cricket, football and hockey to the best of our capacity,” he added.
