SIALKOT: District Police Officer (DPO) Sialkot Rai Ejaz Ahmed has announced to immediately start of the “Theekari Pehra” in all the villages of Sialkot district in cooperation with the local Numberdars to control the crimes at village level.
He made this announcement while addressing the participants of an Open Kutchery held at Civil Rest House Daska here Monday. Local MPAs Mohammad Asif Bajwa, Ch. Mohsin Ashraf, DSP Daska Abdul Qayyum Gondal, senior member Sialkot District Peace Committee Zafar Malik, Bashir Ahmed Naz (Chairman Young Blood Foundation Daska) SHO Daska City police station Inspector Rana Zulfiqar Ahmed, local lawyers, traders and notables were also present on this occasion.
DPO said that the Numberdars could play their effective and positive role in reducing the crime at village level. He announced to immediately starting of Theekari Pehra in all the villages with cooperation of the Numberdars in Sialkot district. DPO also announced to immediately inclusion of Numberdars into the Police Musalehati Committees already established at the police station level.
DPO Rai Ejaz Ahmed ordered all SHOs to ensure the quick registration of FIRs of all the incidents in their jurisdiction, warning them that the delay in registration of the FIRs would be meant of immediately suspension of the SHO of the concerned police station. DPO also assured the investigation of all the cases purely on merit. DPO showed zero tolerance for delay in registration of the FIRs by the police officials.
