Three accused remanded to police


Karachi: An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) remanded three accused, to police custody till 7 January 2015, in murder and attempt to murder cases.

Police produced all the accused before ATC judge under tight security. Investigation officer requested the court that police needed their physical custody to map out their connections and trace whereabouts of Khalid Iqbal, Khan Muhajir, Shahzaib, Furqan and Ubaid who are still absconding in the case. The court accepted the police request and remanded all the accused to their custody till 7 January.

According to prosecution, All the accused were involved in killing of three people Riaz, Hayatullah and Ali Ahmed and injuring Imtiazullah, Abdul Ghani and Ismail on 9 April 2014 in Gulistan-e-Johar.

A case FIR 212/14 was lodged at Gulitan-e Johar police station under Sections 302(premeditated murder),324 (attempt to murder) and 34 (common intention)of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
