Three die in separate mishaps


KARACHI: Three persons, including a child, were killed and three others injured in separate incidents in the city on Saturday. A child, 12, Sikandar, son of Haji Khan, died after drowning into a water tank near furniture market in Gulistan-e-Johar Block 13. The body was taken to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for post-mortem examination.

A man, Osama, 25, son of Arshad, was killed after a gas cylinder accidently blasted in Habib ADM Limited Company in Hub Chowki. The body was taken to CHK for an autopsy.

An unidentified man, aged 38, was killed after a speedy vehicle hit him in Nusrat Bhutto Colony, North Nazimabad. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

A girl, Tayyaba, 18, and a woman, Zareena, 38, were injured after a vehicle hit them near 4K Chowrangi in North Karachi. Both of them were rushed to ASH for medical treatment.

Separately, a woman, Afroz Fatima, 30, daughter of Raza, resident of Buffer Zone, was hit and injured by an unidentified vehicle on Shahra-e-Faisal near Gora Qabristan.
