Three fall prey to Karachi violence


KARACHI: Three persons were killed and six others injured in separate violence incidents here on Saturday.

A youth, Mujahid, 22, was gunned down by unknown armed men near Usman Public School in North Karachi. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

In another incident, an unidentified youth aged about 25 years old was killed and a woman, Raisha, 39 wife of Aslam, and a man, Yar Mohammad, 40, injured by the firing of unknown armed men near Hari Masjid in Lyari. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).

Yet in another incident, a man, Kamal, 30, was gunned down and another youth, Owais, 25, son of Qayum, injured by unknown armed men near Disco Morr in North Karachi. The body and injured were shifted to ASH.

Meanwhile, three unknown persons, aged about 25, 40, 34 years, were injured when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing on them in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block No. 13.

They were brought to Liaquat National Hospital Karachi for treatment.
