Two die, two suffer injuries in road mishaps

KARACHI: Two men were killed and two youth injured in separate traffic accidents in the metropolis on Monday.

According to rescue sources, a man, Mohammad Kashif, aged about 50, son of Majeed, died when an unknown speeding vehicle knocked him near Makkah Hotel in New Karachi. The deceased was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, a 23-year-old youth, Sohail Asghar, son of Asghar Hussain, a resident of Qayoomabad, was killed in a road mishap near main bus stop of the Qayoomabad area. The body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JMPC) for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, two friends were injured when an unknown speeding car hit them near Chamra Chowrangi in Korangi area. They were identified as Mohammad Sadiq, 26, son of Shah Nawaz, and Ayaz, 27, son of Mohammad Ali. Both belong to Korangi area. The injured were shifted to JMPC for treatment.
