Two killed, three injured in city violence


KARACHI: Two persons were killed and three others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Tuesday.

According to rescue sources, an unidentified man, aged about 38, was shot dead by unknown armed men within the jurisdiction of AL-Falah police station. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for an autopsy.

Rescue team recovered the six-day-old body of a man, aged about 55, from a house in Baldia, Gulshan-e-Ghazi near Roohani Masjid. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet.

In another incident, a man, identified as Aftab, 28, son of Manzoor, resident of Raees Amrohi, was shot and injured by unknown gunmen near Yaqoobabad, Orangi Town, Sector 11 ½ Area. He was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment.

Yet in another incident, Saleem, 43, son of Ghulam Mustafa, was shot and injured near Lyari Kambela Stop. He was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.

Separately, a youth, Arslam, 25, son of Aslam, received bullet injuries in Lyari’s Baghdadi area. He was brought to CHK for treatment.
