Two killed, two injured in road accidents

KARACHI: Two people were killed and two injured in separate road accidents in the metropolis on Monday, rescue sources said.

In the first incident, a 55-year-old woman, Zohra Bibi and a five-year-old child, Abdul Sami was hit by a speeding vehicle at Rasheedabad in Baldia Town. As a result, the child died on the spot while the woman suffered severe injuries. The body and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.

In another road accident, a 28-year-old man, Ameer Husain, was riding on a motorcycle when a fast-moving vehicle knocked him down near Sultan Masjid in DHA. The body was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.

Separately, Junaid,aged 30, also met with a road accident near Sagar Hotel on Super Highway and suffered severe injuries. The victim was rushed ASH for treatment.
