KARACHI: Three people were killed and six others injured in different violence incidents in the city on Sunday.
Lala Jahanzaib, 22, son of Lala Tariq, was shot dead by unknown armed robbers during resistance to a robbery bid at Khayaban-e-Sehar, Street 14th, DHA. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
The two-day-old body of a man was found near Dubai Apartments in Gulistan-e-Johar. It was shifted to JPMC for a postmortem examination. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet.
In another incident, an unknown man, aged 30, was shot dead by unknown assailants near Eight Chowk in Lyari. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy.
Separately, Asghar, 17, son of Rafique, was shot and injured by unidentified armed robbers during snatching at Samanabad in Gulberg Block-18. The injured was shifted to Abbasi shaheed Hospital for treatment.
Muhammad Saeed, 25, son of Muhammad Salman and Muhammad Adnan, 22, son of Muhammad Bashir, were injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on them in New Karachi. Both injured were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment.
Two brothers, Azeem, 35, and Saifullah, 25, son of Athar Shah, were injured by unknown robbers while resisting a robbery bid at Khawaja Ajmer Nagri in North Karachi. They were shifted to ASH for treatment.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Mustafa, 24, son of Muhammad Anwar, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near Petrol Pump in Gulbai area. He was brought to CHK for treatment.
