Karachi: A 4-day Workshop on Human Rights and Law Enforcement: Criminal Investigation started here Monday at Special Security Unit (SSU) Headquarter Karachi with the approval of Inspector General of Police, Sindh.
The subject training is being provided to officials from the rank of Head Constable to Inspector of Special Security Unit (SSU) and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Elite Police Training Centre Karachi.
The workshop has been organized by Niaz A. Siddiki PSP former Inspector General of Police, sponsored by SHEHRI-Citizens for better environment in collaboration with National Endowment for Democracy, USA and Sindh Police.
The workshop will be addressed by former Inspector General of Police, Asad Jahangir Khan, Additional Inspector General of Police, Zafar Farooqi, former Federal Minister of Law and Human Rights, Barrister Shahida Jamil, former Civil Judge & Judicial Magistrate, Anwar ul Hassan Siddiqui and eminent members of civil society.
Today’s session was addressed by Khatib Ahmed Executive Member SHEHRI-CBE on Constitution of Pakistan, Democratic Policing and Public Accountability of the Police, Zafar Ahmed Farooqi former Additional Inspector General of Police (Investigation) Sindh on Juvenile Justice: Rights of Juvenile Delinquents and Fouzia Tariq Chief Operating Officer, MCTS on introduction and Ice Breaking Activity.
