Zardari condemns terror attack on Punjab home minister


Islamabad: Former President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday condemned the terror attack on Punjab home minister Shuja Khanzada in his home town in Attock today that resulted in the martyrdom of over a dozen innocent people including minister Khanzada.

No words are strong enough to condemn the brutal and cowardly attack, he said in a statement today. “The attack is a manifestation of the dying kicks of dying militants,” the former President said, adding that such cowardly attacks will not deter the nation to continue fighting the militants to the finish.”

He said that the attack has only further strengthened the nation’s resolve to exterminate militancy and extremism. Zardari also prayed for eternal rest to the souls of martyrs, offered sincere condolences to bereaved families and called for gearing up all resources and energies to apprehend the culprits and the masterminds and to bring them to justice.
