Karachi: Ten new dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi on Tuesday, increasing the patients toll to 1033 during 2013, said Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Shakeel Mullick said that a total of 1090 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of them 1033 were detected in Karachi and 57 in rest of the province. He said 11 dengue patients expired in Karachi this year so far.
He said that 46 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the Sindh, while seven patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment in Karachi. He said 10 new cases were reported in the city on 10th September and one case was also detected in Hyderabad.
He informed that 44 cases were detected in Hyderabad, two in Kambar, two in Sanghar, two in Shikarpur , two in Thatta , one in Larkana, one in Dadu, one in Khairpur, one in Naushehro Feroz, and one in Kashmore since January 2013.
