13306 wheat bags go missing, two officials suspended

Karachi: On the directives of provincial minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dehar, an inquiry committee has been constituted under the head of additional secretary food to probe into the missing of 13306 wheat bags, worth of more than Rs50mn.

According to details, an inspection team of Food Department Sindh detected shortage of 13306 wheat bags at Gari Khairo, Jacobabad, worth of Rs57975711.

On receiving report, the minister for directed Secretary Food to suspend in charge Shaif ud din Bhatti and Ali Raza Buledi. An inquiry committee has been formed, headed by additional Secretary Food to probe further into the matter and submit the report within 15 days.
