Karachi: Sixteen more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi on Thursday, said Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Mullick said that a total of 1392 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of them 1256 were detected in Karachi and 136 in rest of province. He said 11 dengue patients expired in Karachi this year so far.
He said that 69 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the Sindh, while 17 patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment across the province. He said 16 new cases were reported in Karachi on 19th September, while three cases were detected in Hyderabad. He said total 19 cases reported on Wednesday, out of which 18 were Inpatient and one was Out Patient Departments OPD case.
He informed that 119 cases were detected in Hyderabad, three in Sukkur, Three in Thatta, two in Kambar, two in Sanghar, two in Shikarpur, one in Larkana, one in Dadu, one in Khairpur, one in Naushehro Feroz, and one in Kashmore since January 2013.
