NAUNDERO: Pakistan People’s Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) on Friday observed the 17th death anniversary of Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto with reverence and devotion in Garhi Khuda Bux. Caravans comprising party leaders and activists from different parts of the country converged at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, visited the mazar of Mir and offered Fateha amid mourning atmosphere. They raised slogans in the favour of PPP-SB and paid rich tribute to their leader who was shot dead along with his colleagues in Karachi 17 years back.
PPP-SB Chairperson Ms Ghinwa Bhutto, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Mumtaz Bhutto, Taj Mohammad Domki also visited his mazar, laid floral wreaths on his grave and offered Fateha.
Speaking on the occasion, Ghinwa asked Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of killing of Mir Murtaza Bhutto and his companions, and provide justice. She said that despite lapse of 17 years, they were awaiting justice.
Ghinwa said that crimes could not be ended without providing justice. She said that it was her mission to make PPP-SB the party of the poor. The province still lacks autonomy, she added.
