Karachi: Twenty new dengue viral fever cases were detected in Karachi on Monday, said Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Shakeel Mullick said that a total of 1079 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of them 1023 were detected in Karachi and 56 in rest of province. He said 11 dengue patients expired in Karachi this year so far.
He said that 42 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of Sindh, while 32 were discharged from hospitals after treatment across the province. He said 20 new cases were reported in city on 9th September and three cases were also detected in Hyderabad.
He informed that 43 cases were detected in Hyderabad, two in Kambar, two in Sanghar, two in Shikarpur , two in Thatta , one in Larkana, one in Dadu, one in Khairpur, one in Naushehro Feroz, and one in Kashmore since January 2013.
