Karachi: Twenty-nine more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi on Friday, increasing the patients’ toll to 1285 this year, said Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Mullick said that a total of 1433 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province Since January 2013, out of them 1285 were detected in Karachi and 148 in rest of province. He said eleven dengue patients expired in Karachi this year so far.
He said that 62 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the Sindh, while 33 patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment across the province. He said 29 new cases were reported in Karachi on 20th September, while 10 cases were detected in Hyderabad. He further said one new case was surfaced in Dadu and one case was detected in Kashmore.
He said total 41 cases reported on Friday, out of which 23 were Inpatient and 18 were Out Patient Departments (OPD) cases.
He informed that 129 cases were detected in Hyderabad, three in Sukkur, Three in Thatta, two in Kambar, two in Sanghar, two in Shikarpur, Two in Dadu, two in Kashmore, one in Larkana, one in Khairpur and one in Naushehro Feroz since January 2013.
