Karachi: Seventy Two more dengue viral fever cases were reported across Sindh province on Monday, increasing the patients’ toll to 1242 this year, said Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Mullick said a total of 72 new dengue fever cases were reported in the province on 16th September out of which 23 were detected in Karachi and 49 in rest of Sindh.
He said that a total of 1242 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province Since January 2013, out of which 1130 were detected in Karachi so far. He further said 112 cases were detected in rest of the province in 2013.
He said that 50 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of Sindh, while 45 were discharged from hospitals after treatment across the province. He said out of total 72 new cases reported in Sindh, 54 were inpatients and 18 were Out Patient Departments OPD cases.
