SIALKOT: As many as 1032 mobile teams of Sialkot health department will give the anti polio vaccine doses to more than 571297 children under the age of five years during the three-day long national anti polio vaccination campaign to be started in Sialkot district from September 30,2013.
Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu told the newsmen here that 1032 mobile team will go door to door, 130 fixed teams at hospitals, BHUs and RHCs, 55 transit teams at Lorry Addas, bus stops and eight roaming teams will administrate the polio vaccine drops to the children in Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils here.
DCO added that the district administration of Sialkot will also take out an awareness raising walk in Sialkot to promote awareness among the masses about the anti polio vaccination.
DCO revealed that as many as nine Abadies of the nomads have also been included in this national campaign due to which as many as 6000 nomad children would also be given the anti polio vaccine drops.
As many as 126 Special Monitoring Officers and 215 Areas Supervisors will monitor this anti polio vaccination campaign directly at union council level in Sialkot district, as the district administration have also established the Polio Control Rooms at all the Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils of the district.
