Balochistan government is striving for promotion of health sector and provides all basic health facilities to the poor masses in the province.
The Director General Provincial Health Services Department told Radio Pakistan Quetta during an interaction today (Wednesday) that for this purpose, execution on various multi-purpose health projects are in progress.
He said that a major programme to control the rate of birth in the province has been initiated at a cost of about four billion rupees in order to give a healthy society to the people of the province.
National Maternal Newly Born and Child Care programme is also being carried out in Quetta at a cost of 1.4 billion rupees with the aim of provision of modern health facilities to the mother and child.
Another project to control the epidemic diseases in the province is also being executed at a cost of 2.5 billion rupees.
