Call to end CNG suspensions

KARACHI: Karachi Transport Action Committee President Mohammad Ashraf Banglori has demanded of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to intervene and help end repeated CNG service suspension.

In a statement, he said that owing to CNG suspensions, public transport remained off roads three days a week while Sui Southern Gas Company also used to change its supply schedule which caused tremendous difficulties to people and transporters.

He said: “It is irony that on one hand, the government is providing loans to people, while on other hand, it is not resolving problem being faced by CNG consumers, which is a great injustice because this sector employ huge number of people across the country.”

He said that the government should take steps to rid transporters of CNG suspensions so that they and people could take a sigh of relief.
