CM says we will not construct only building but also provide health facilities in these buildings

Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that he does not believe in constructing just buildings for schools and hospitals having no facilities and staff as practiced in the past when rulers were erecting mere buildings to engrave their names on plaques and political point scoring causing huge loss to government exchequer adding that schools were set up but there was no education and hospitals were constructed but there was no health.

He has said that his government will focus primarily on providing facilities and personnel to the already existing educational and medical institution; and for this purpose doctors ,nurses, technicians, teachers another staff are being recruited on adhoc basis to make up the deficiency of these staff immediately as recruitment through public service commission takes time. Similarly purchase of furniture, medical equipment for hospitals and schools in being made on emergency basis.

He expressed these views while talking to the elected members national and provincial assemblies, and the party office holders of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf from Chitral, Kohistan, Buner and Shangla who called on him at his office on Friday.

Concerned Deputy Commissioner, District Police Officers, and heads of all line departments were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister apprised the elected representatives and party workers of the three months activities of the provincial government, the implementation of status of reform agenda and policy guidelines/directives issued to the government departments to this effect.

He said that as the per manifesto of PTI, he would change the existing system of corruption, commission, male-practices and injustice with a corruption free system based on equality and justice and make the province role model not only for the country but world as well.

Mr. Khattak said that necessary directives had already been issued to all the heads of government departments regarding the reform/change agenda of the PTI led coalition government; and implementation of the same has been started adding that people would soon notice positive change in all the fields of life.

He urged upon the elected representatives and party workers to work as a team and play their important role in the implementation of the reform agenda. He directed the party workers to constitutes monitoring committees in their respective districts to watch the process of implementation.

Mr. Khattak reiterated his resolve to bring a positive change in the existing systems according to the aspirations and wishes of all people for which they have voted PTI to power.

In the given circumstances when people want change, the slot of Chief Minister is a big challenge, but I has accepted this challenge and I am sure that I will change the system with support of the people and the allied parties because I am determined and committed to do; Khattak maintained.

He said that as promised in the general elections, the provincial government would not conceal anything from the people and all the activities of the government will be made public; and for this purpose the law of right to information has been put in place by which citizens could get all the information related to the activities of the government. This piece of legislation will ensure transparency in governance system; added the CM.

The Chief Minister directed the heads of the line departments to ensure cent percent implementation of his directives issued time to time because he wants cent percent results, and cent percent performance adding that there will be no space for officials with poor performance.

He directed the deputy commissioners to initiate drives against illegal encroachments in their respective districts. The Chief Minister also directed them to go against those who are involved in adulteration and business of spurious drugs and to carry out raids on shops on daily basis to curb the menace of adulteration and spurious drugs.
