Corruption will not be tolerated at any cost, NA assured

Islamabad: The National Assembly was informed Wednesday that corruption will not be tolerated at any cost and government has introduced a proper procedure to check this menace.

Minister of State for Education and Trainings Muhammad Balighur Rehman on behalf of Finance Minister told the House during question hour that government will ensure appointment of good reputed officers on positions and performance will be monitored with reference to inefficiency and unfriendly attitude of officers and performance will be reviewed on quarterly basis.

To a question‚ the Minister of State said the circular debt has again surged upto 100 billion rupees‚ however‚ the production of electricity has increased. He said not a single IPP is non-functional at this time.

He said there is no conditionality in IMF agreement where we committed to devalue Pakistani rupee.
