Crime rate rises in Naundero

NAUNDERO: Crime rate has risen within the limits of Naundero police station. Mumtaz Memon, a driver, told PPI that he was coming from Larkana to Naundero when two persons approached him and hired his Suzuki pickup registeration No KQ-5212. He said: “When we reached near village Jat Bhutta within the limits of Naundero police station at about 7.00 am, four unknown armed men appeared on two motorcycles and held him hostage at gunpoint.”

They beat him up severely, snatched his vehicle, cash and cell phone, and fled along with the two persons who had hired his Suzuki.

The victim raised hue and cry but nobody turned up to help him. The victim said said he immediately came to Naundero police station and lodged a report but they have done nothing. He further revealed that he was receiving calls from his looted mobile to pay Rs200,000 extortion but he was refusing the same.

In another incident, another Suzuki pick-up driven by Pervaiz Dhoki was snatched near Khanwah village of Naundero police station in the wee hours on Monday. Two private cameramen Irshad Solangi and Irfan Mirani were deprived of their costly cams as they were movie makers and were returning after recording marriage ceremony.

They were also deprived of cash, cellular phones and all other valuables. Naundero police was also informed about this incident but they have done nothing as yet to bust the criminals gang involved in snatching of vehicles and other valuables. The people have demanded of higher police officers to take measures to stop crimes in the area.
