CS directs to start work on mega projects in Peshawar City


Peshawar: The Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Shehzad Arbab has directed the authorities of local government department to start work on ongoing and new mega projects in Peshawar. He said the standard of developmental work would enhance by establishing the local governance school and the provincial services academy in Hayatabad. He also directed to ensure the private security system in Hayatabad Town in line of Bahria Town as early as possible.

He expressed these views in a briefing given by the Secretary Local Govt: Hifzur Rehman, wherein Establishment of Peace Institute in Peshawar University was also discussed for which Rs. 120/- million had been provided to Peshawar University.

However, its inauguration is expected in next week. Meanwhile, directives were also issued for all type of facilities for local governance school and Provincial Services Academy lying in ten kanal areas. It was informed that the provision of 183 Mini Dumpers by the Local Govt: Department from January 2014 till June 2014 would be ensured which would improve cleanliness of the city to a great extent.

The early inauguration of flyover on Jamrood Road, which is in the last phase of completion and the flyover on the Charsadda Road to Pajjagi Road were also discussed in the meeting.
