Karachi: Residents of Bheempura, Lyari here Sunday held a demo in front of Karachi Press Club (KPC) to demand safe recovery of a boy kidnapped from Lyari. As per details, a large number of men, women and children stated a demo at the KPC and demanded early and safe recovery of a 15-years-old boy, Hammad Baloch, who was abducted by Lyari gangsters. They raised slogans against Lyari gangsters backed by political elements. They demanded of the police and rangers to take action against the know gangsters and lawbreakers of Karachi. They asked political parties to shun their covert support to the criminals of Lyari so that a lasting peace may return to this restive area.
The protestors said Lyari has become a horrible place to live as the political parties are not ready to withdraw support to armed criminal elements. They said crime is on the rise in this old locality of Karachi but the stakeholders including government, political parties, police and rangers are not ready to take on the real criminals who are known to everyone. They appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to take notice of the abduction of the boy and order steps for his safe recovery.
