District: Five more Indian-made anti tank landmines defused


Sialkot: The Bomb Disposal Squad Sialkot has defused as many as five anti tank landmines which were recovered by the sensitive and intelligence agencies during a special search operation in far-off bordering villages of Bajwat-Sialkot along the Sialkot Working Boundary.

According to the senior police officials these anti tank landmines were Indian made and they reached here with the recent flash flood waters from India. The police and secret agencies conducted this massive search operation to find out the explosive devices in these villages after the Thursday’s landmine blast in bordering village Machchrala-Head Marala near Sialkot, which left a labourer Muhammad Sarwar Gujjar injured seriously.
