JAMSHORO: A one-day free medical camp was held by the SU campus International University of Peace, Sufism & Modern Sciences (IUPSMS) Bhitshah at its campus in collaboration with Sindh Sahkar Organization (SSO) here on Sunday.
About 2700 patients of different diseases were examined by the expert doctors who were provided with free medicines and X-ray facilities.
Sindh University (SU) vice chancellor Prof Dr Nazir A Mughal visited the camp and expressed satisfaction over arrangements and passed on good wishes to pro-vice chancellor of Sufi University Prof Dr Aslam Parvez Memon who left no stone unturned to hold this important medical camp.
The free medical camp was held on the campus of Sufi University Bhitshah wherein the national and international qualified doctors Dr Elyas A Rajput, Dr Zubaida A Rajput, Dr Tariq Adil Memon from all from USA, Dr Parvez Makhdoom from Azad Kashmir, Dr Aamir Iqbal Memon, Dr Tanveer Afza from Hyderabad, Dr Ubedullah Memon, Dr Shafique Soomro, Dr Shakeel Ahmed Shaikh, Dr Anila Shaikh, Dr Ghulam Akbar from Karachi and Dr Akhtar Adil Shah, Dr Arbeela Agha and Dr Saniha Aslam from Jamshoro examined a record number of 2700 patients and provided them with the related treatment and free medicines.
Talking to journalists, vice chancellor Prof Dr Nazir A Mughal said that the community service was need of the day in higher education except teaching and awarding the degrees.
Medical camp has been held at Sufi University so as to provide health facilities to the poor masses of this town and suburbs and to fulfil the responsibility of community services by the University of Sindh Jamshoro.
Congratulating pro vice chancellor of Sufi University Prof. Dr. Aslam Parvez Memon, Dr Mughal said that he had making enormous efforts in holding free medical camp since days and today multiple patients, including women and children, were getting benefit from it.
He on the occasion announced to hold the free medical campus on Bhitshah Campus after every six months in a bid to facilitate the patients.
