LARKANA: A deaf woman abducted from Punjab, who was sold thrice, finally landed in Darul Aman here a few days back.
She made a complaint to the Commissioner Larkana division, Ghulam Akbar Laghari, during his visit on Wednesday requesting him to hand her over to her parents.
The Commissioner ordered that after verification of fingerprints from NADRA she should be handed over to her lawful heirs.
According to sources the lady was sold twice in Punjab by some human traffickers. However, she escaped from their captivity and reached Sehwan Sharif where she again was sold by a broker in Rs0.2mn to a man residing in Ratodero.
On receipt of information, Crime Branch Larkana police conducted a raid, recovered her and sent her to Darul Aman.
Sources further said that her father Pervaiz reached Larkana from Lahore on getting information a few days ago but due to lack of completion of required legal formalities she was not handed over to him.
Commissioner Laghari directed that she should be handed to her father after NADRA fingerprint verification & fulfillment of all legal requirements.
