Blind theft unearthed


SIALKOT: The Kotwali police have traced out a blind theft case in which accused had stolen the precious machinery worth of Rs. 10 million from the Govt. Poly Technical Institute here a week ago.

DPO Muhammad Gohar Nafees told the newsmen that a special police team led by DSP City Sialkot Maqsud Ahmed Lone used the scientific methods of investigation and arrested two accused watchmen Shaukat Ali and Aneel Khursheed of the Govt. Poly Technical Institute and their two other companions Muhammad Arif driver and a local scarp merchant Hafiz Muhammad Waheed.

DPO added that the police also recovered the stolen machinery from the accused and sent them behind the bars.

DPO revealed that the police have also busted two well organized inter-district gangs of motorcycles and car lifters, recovering stolen 11 heavy bikes worth of Rs. 8 million, 17 other snatched and stolen motorcycles and three luxury cars from them. DPO announced appreciation certificates and cash prizes for the raiding police parties.
