Chakwal traffic accident, case registered against driver


Chakwal: Kallar Kahar Police registered a case against injured mini-truck driver and owner of truck no PJ-645 and complainant was the in charge Police Check Post Buchaal Kalaan. Latest update is that 18 people have been killed while 43 received multiple injuries.

The brakes of the mini-truck failed when on a sharp steep turn driver Ghulam Abbas lost control and the truck fell down in a deep ditch of more than 100 feet.

6 people including four women and three children were killed on the spot while two others died in the hospital. The owner of the mini-truck Muhammad Ashraf was also included in the accused.

DPO Dr. Moeen Masood and DCO Asif Bilal Lodhi rushed on the spot and supervised the rescue operation. The people of the village Matan-Kalaan also helped the injured and brought out the dead bodies from the deep ditch.

The victims belonged to village Chota-Sahiwal of district Sargodha. Those who were killed were Barkat Ali, Ghulam Muhaad, Zaheer Abbas, Muhammad Safdar, Muhammad Aqeel, Asia Bibi and others.
