CMCH’s performance: 2,121 admitted children died in 2015

LARKANA: As many as 2,121 children died in 2015 at Paeds Medicine & Paeds Surgery Departments of Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, out of admissions of 20,665, learnt on Tuesday.

It was further learnt that 9,980 patients were discharged and 3,740 left the departments without medical advise. In January, 1,024 children were admitted, 530 discharged, and 124 expired. In February, 887 were admitted, 436 discharged, and 98 died.

In March, 1081 were admitted, out of which 576 were discharged, and 197 died. In April, 1524 were admitted, 766 discharged, and 101 died. In May 2282 were admitted, 1021 discharged, and 255 died.

In June, 1613 admitted, 865 discharged, and 107 died. In July 2015, as many as 237 admitted, 1118 discharged, and 150 died. In August, 2,704 were admitted, 1507 were discharged, and 315 expired. In September, 2286 kids were admitted out of which 1024 were discharged, and 255 expired.

In October as many as 1506 were admitted, 723 were discharged, and 216 died. In November, 2,184 were admitted, 925 discharged, and 248 died. In December 2015, 1226 children were admitted, out of which 489 were discharged, and 55 died, sources further revealed.
