SIALKOT: The Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) on Sunday resorted unprovoked heavy mortar shelling on Sialkot border villages Charwah, Joyiaan, Harpal, Dhamaala, Bajra Garhi, Umeraanwali , Rangor, Bhagiyaari and surroundings in Charwah Sector of Sialkot Working Boundary.
Indian BSF targeted the civilian population on the eve of US President Baraka Obama’s ongoing visit to India. The Indian war aggression remains continued along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
According to the senior officials of the Chenab Rangers in Sialkot, the Indian BSF started heavy mortar shelling on Sialkot border villages early Sunday morning at 02:20 am which remained continued for half and hours till 03:50 am).
In this fresh spell of heavy mortar shelling after a week-long lull, the Indian BSF again targeted the civilian population in Sialkot border villages in Charwah Sector of Sialkot Working Boundary. Several heavy mortar shells fired by Indian BSF fell in local’s fields which could not explode.
The Chenab Rangers retaliated effectively in befitting manner, making the Indian guns silent, the senior Chenab Rangers officials added. No loss of life or any injury was reported, they confirmed.
They said Indian BSF targeted the civilian population with small and big weapons besides, firing heavy mortar shells by again violating the Ceasefire Accord.
The Indian bullets and mortar shells hit the houses of the local people and damaged several houses in this fresh spell of firing.
