SIALKOT: The Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) on Wednesday shot injured two local senior officials of the Chenab Rangers at the “no man’s land” after inviting them to attend the flag meeting being hosted there by BSF in Shakargarh sector of Sialkot Working Boundary.
The senior officials of the Chenab Rangers told that the concerned commander of the Indian BSF requested and invited the Chenab Rangers for a flag meeting in Indian Territory at 11:00 am on Wednesday.
When on Indian BSF invitation, two local senior officials of the Chenab Rangers Naik Riaz Shakir and Lance Naik Mohammad Safdar reached there at the Zero Line (No man’s land) in Shakargarh Sector of Sialkot Working Boundary on Wednesday, the Indian BSF personnel started unprovoked firing, injuring both of them seriously.
The Indian BSF was continuing firing there with small and heavy weapons, not allowing the Chenab Rangers to take back the injured senior officials of the Chenab Rangers.
Chenab Rangers senior officials said that Pakistan has expressed grave concern over this nasty incident and also strongly condemned it with India. They said Pakistan has also got recorded a strong protest and condemnation before India, in this regard.
