SIALKOT: The local police on Sunday temporarily buried a dead body of an unknown Indian Hindu old man as trust near Head Marala here in Sialkot.
According to senior officials of Punjab Rangers, the said dead body of an unknown Indian Hindu old man reached Head Marala by floating into the faster flow of flood water in River Jammu-Tavi from India.
Local people spotted the dead body and informed the local police. The Punjab Rangers formally contacted the Indian Border Security Forces(BSF) for handing over the said dead body. But the Indian BSF confirmed that no one from Indian side has yet claimed for this dead body, the Punjab Rangers officials added.
They said some Indian currency notes were also found in the pocket of tore cloth of the dead body, which confirmed that the dead body was of an Indian Hindu old man, beyond his identification.
They said dead body was temporarily buries as a trust after the refusal by Indian BSF to take it back. Two days ago, the Punjab Rangers had also handed over a dead body of an Indian Hindu person Kanth Lal (70) to the Indian BSF near Sialkot.
This dead body had also reached here at Head Marala-Sialkot after floating into the faster flow of flood water in River Jammu-Tavi from India.
