District: (Rs 0.5 million paid to martyr of Peshawar carnage)

Chakwal: A cheque of Rs. 0.5 million was handed over to the father of Shaheed Usama Tariq who laid his life at Army Public School Peshawar at village Kot Raja on Saturday.

MNA Maj (r) Tahir Iqbal in the presence of Malik Aslam Sethi, MPA Mehvish Sultana, DCO Asif Bilal Lodhi, DPO Dr Moeen Masood, AC Chakwal Musawar Khan Niazi, presented the cheque to Muhammad Tariq.

Speaking on the occasion Maj (r) Tahir Iqbal said that Rs 0. 5 million was not the compensation of precious life of Usama Tariq but it was a token of acknowledgement that Punjab government was sharing the grief of the bereaved family.

The DCO said that another Rs 01.0 1 million will also be presented to Muhammad Tariq in the next few days and over all Rs 01.6 million would be paid to Muhammad Tariq. Tahir Iqbal speaking on this occasion was confident that with the help of army, political leadership would eliminate terrorism from the country.
