Sialkot: The traffic wardens system will begin in export-oriented Sialkot city in May 2014. The Sialkot will get traffic wardens systems in next two weeks. Traffic wardens system was being introduced here in Sialkot, first time in the history of Sialkot to ensure the smooth flow of traffic on city roads as well.
On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Khan Baig, a three-member team comprising Capt (Rtd) Suhail Chaudhary (Focal Person) CTO Lahore, Sialkot DPO Muhammad Gohar Nafees and DSP Traffic Sialkot Muhammad Waseem Akhtar, today, visited the various spots in Sialkot city and reviewed in details the necessary arrangements for staring the traffic wardens system, to avert the traffic jams and traffic rules violations, in this regard. The team told the newsmen that the traffic wardens system will be started within a stipulated period of next two weeks (in May 20140, as all the arrangements have been finalized for this purpose.
DPO Sialkot Muhammad Gohar Nafees told the newsmen that as many as 70 traffic wardens from Gujranwala would be transferred and posted at Sialkot city in the initial stage.
