ECP (ECP issues details of LB polls)


SIALKOT: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the details of LB polls in both neighbouring bordering Sialkot and Narowal districts being held there on December 05 in the third phase of the local bodies’ elections in Punjab.

According to the ECP official notification, the total registered voters are 2011912 in Sialkot district, out of which 1165351 are male voters and 846561 are female voters.

ECP has established 1544 polling stations in Sialkot district for LB polls out of which 331 polling stations are for the male voters and 331 for female voters while 882 polling stations are the combined polling stations in Sialkot district. There will be total 4332 polling booths out of which 2445 booths will be for the male voters, 1887 for female voters.

In Sialkot city, the total registered voters are 340,000 in all the 24 urban union councils of Municipal Corporation Sialkot, where the ECP has established 243 polling stations and 723 polling booths in Sialkot city.

In Zila Council Sialkot, the total registered voters are 1499701 in total 124 rural union councils in Sialkot district, for which the ECP has established 1179 polling stations and 3249 polling booths in Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils here.

In Daska city, there are total 90242 registered voters in all the 30 urban wards of Daska Municipal Committee.

In Sambrial city, the number of the total registered voters is 41329 for all the 20 urban wards of Municipal Committee Sambrial.

In Pasrur city, there total 40126 registered voters in all the 26 urban wards of Municipal Committee Pasrur.

The ECP official notification revealed that there total 877037 registered voters in Narowal district out of which 516350 are male voters and 360687 female voters. ECP has established as many as 709 polling stations in Narowal district including 64 male voters’ polling stations , 64 polling stations for female voters and 581 polling stations are combined. There will be total 2276 polling booths in Narowal districts.

Narowal district has no municipal corporation.

In Narowal Zila Council, the total registered voters are 773078 for all the 98 rural union councils in Narowal district for which the ECP has established 597 polling stations and 1999 polling booths in Narowal district.

There are total 55 urban wards in all the three municipal committees in Narowal district.

In Narowal city, as many as 49939 voters will cast their votes in all the 25 urban wards of Municipal Committee Narowal.

In Shakargarh city, total registered voters are 39218 for all the 19 urban wards of Municipal Committee Shakargarh.

In Zafarwal city, the number of total registered voters is 14802 for all the 11 urban wards of Municipal Committee Zafarwal
