Jacobabad:,,, Sindh Minister for Health Dr Sagheer Ahmed on Friday said the establishment of Jacobabad Institute of Medical Science (JIMS) would not only ensure the latest healthcare facilities of area people but also benefits the people of Balochistan province.
He expressed these views during the inauguration ceremony of Residential Colony for doctors, nurses or paramedical staff of Jacobabad Institute of Medical Science which was established with collaboration of USAID.
He informed that the provincial government will provide Rs 400million for the residential colony for staff. The construction of a mosque in the staff colony has also part of project.
He said hospital established with support of USAID is equipped with modern healthcare facilities and public would avail the services of well-qualified doctors. He also applauded the role USAID in promotion of health and education in the country.
Representative of USAID Leon S Wasken said Hillary Clinton had signed agreement with Government of Pakistan in 2010 for provision of facilities in education and healthcare sectors and this project is a part it.
Member National Assembly Ejaz Jakhrani, Health Secretary Sindh Iqbal Durrani and other officers also present.
