Ignoring Kashmir in dialogue process to bring more disaster: Yasin Malik

Srinagar: The Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik has said that the issues and conflicts could only be resolved through dialogue institution, but the way this process has been turned it has created doubts in the minds of common people and people of Jammu Kashmir have lost faith in this institution.

Malik said that the Joint declaration issued after bilateral meeting of Indian and Pakistani prime ministers has disappointed Kashmiris and urged the International community to play a constructive role in this regard.

Yasin Malik said that Kashmir issue was not discussed during the meeting between Modi and Nawaz in Russia and a joint declaration.

It is worth to mention that JKLF led by its vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt on Friday held protest demonstration at Jenab sahib Soura against ignoring Kashmir issue in the joint declaration of India and Pakistan.

While commenting upon the recent meeting Yasin Malik said that war cannot solve problems and it is only dialogue institution that resolves conflicts and issues, but for the success of dialogue it is equally important to have seriousness and focus on conflict resolution.

He said that Kashmiris have not been against peace and progress between Indian and Pakistan. We want these two countries to get together and resolve their issues but at the same time Indian and Pakistani leadership would have to also demonstrate some magnanimity regarding Kashmiris. Yasin Malik said that these two countries cannot prosper and progress while keeping the entire Kashmiri nation as hostage for their pity gains.

Meanwhile JKLF led by its vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt protested against ignoring Kashmir issue at Jenab sahib Soura Srinagar and raised slogans in favour of freedom, martyrs and resistance. People also condemned ignoring Kashmir issue in joint declaration between India and Pakistan that was issued just after the meeting between Indian and Pakistani prime minister. They want to proceed towards peace and progress but how could peace be achieved without solving issues that are actually detrimental to it. He said that Kashmir is not a border issue between India and Pakistan, it is the issue related to the future of a living nation called Kashmir. He said that Kashmiris have their own 5000 year old civilization and we have rendered valuable sacrifices for our freedom and no one can ignore or bypass us for his pity interests.

Meanwhile JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik has expressed his grief and sorrow over the sad demise of a tall Kashmiri leader Sardar Abdul Qayoom who breathed his last today in Azad Kashmir.
